Just like that. It doesn't seem possible that in just a few weeks it'll be May. I'm thankful though, I sure am sick of all this cold weather and can't wait to take a nap on the swing in my yard in the hot sun. There isn't much in this world like taking a nap under the sun...
Anyway, to recap on this week we really have to start at last friday when I was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism. It's all good, I'm on some meds to stable the crazy thyroid of mine but until then (which was estimated to be about 2 months) I'm not allowed to run or do any exercise that will increase my heart rate! I'm going CRAZY after not being able to run for a week and I'm supposed to do this for 2 months?!? Sheez...
Then on Tuesday I brought my car into the dealer ( I know, that was my first mistake) for an alignment. They called me 20 mins later and sais they couldn't do it because my upper strut mounts were collapsed and my rear axle beam bushings are too worn! So I go and pick up my car and they charged me 40 bucks to take off my wheels and look at my suspension and put my wheels back on! They also estimated me at 700 bucks for the work that needs to be done. I'm not too worried because I'm fairly certain I can do these things my self as I have already done the strut mounts and have step by step directions (with pics!) on the bushing thanks to the boys at vwvortex.com who take the time to post DIY projects on the forums!
On Wednesday I went to Divorce Care and it was wonderful! We had a very small group this week but it was nice because we all got to talk for a bit. Next week is the last session which sucks because I missed like the first 6 of them, but I am so thankful God has placed the desire to help other people through this in these leaders hearts. Divorce just sucks and for most people it destroys the person. They have to literally become a new person because half of them is being ripped away. But thank God that He is the God of broken hearts! That He can and will "heal the broken hearted and bind up their wounds" Psalms 147:3.
Someone at my church once said that when we are broken hearted we become closer to Jesus because He too was broken hearted.
As John Cooper says in Ardent Worship "It really IS the best to live for the Lord!"
Blessings,
